What a weekend for Webber

Octagon client, Mark Webber had more to celebrate than his birthday over the weekend with the announcement of his extension of his contract with Red Bull Racing for the 2012 season and a fantastic podium finish at the Belgian GP. Mark, who turned 35 on Saturday, finally put all the speculation to rest when he agreed to a one year contract extension and claims that the decision to stay with Red Bull was a “no brainer”.

Mark said: “I want to continue racing at the top in Formula One so it’s a no-brainer to remain at Red Bull Racing for another year. My motivation to achieve the best results possible both for myself and the team is still very high. Over the past five years, we have worked hard and proved that we can design and build a competitive and championship-winning car, and I’m looking forward to putting the car and myself on the limit again each and every race weekend in 2012.”

Mark showed exactly why he was staying with the Red Bull team with his 2nd place performance coming as part of the team’s best ever one-two finishes.

A big weekend with plenty to celebrate. Congratulations Mark and we look forward to the remainder of this season and beyond into 2012.
