Webber takes out the British GP

Australian F1 superstar, Mark Webber has secured his third win of the season at the British GP at Silverstone. Following an extremely close qualifying session, Mark started the race from second position behind his team mate Sebastian Vettel.

A brilliant start saw Mark lead into the first corner of the race and he was never headed from that point onwards as he showed perfect control and timing to win the race ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. The victory was especially sweet for Mark as the British GP is based only 45 minutes from his home and a large contingent of friends and family were on-site to watch his triumph. The win moves Mark back up to third in the Drivers’ Championship, behind leader Lewis Hamilton and his McLaren team-mate Jenson Button and certainly puts him right in the mix at the halfway point of the season.
