Solid Result for Garrett in SA
19 year old Garrett Parkes, had a good weekend at the Fantastic Noodles Pro Junior in South Australia on the weekend. Parkes was pipped by eventual contest winner Ty Watson in their semi final heat, but it was Parkes who scored the highest heat score of the contest, with a total of 19.35 out of a possible 20 points in an earlier heat.
His combinations of tube rides and aerial maneuvers had the crowd on the beach buzzing. “This event has been a great confidence booster heading into the next event at Keramas in Bali”, said Parkes. “Keramas is a super high performance right hander and that suits me perfectly”. Parkes is a former ISA World Junior champion with his sights set on a career on the ASP World Tour.
