Robinson Wins Quiksilver King Of The Groms

Jack Robinson recently won the prestigious Quiksilver King Of The Groms contest which ran from 26 to 27 February 2011 in conjunction with the Quiksilver Pro at Snapper Rocks on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Robinson, just 13 and competing in a 16 and under event, defeated the cream of Australia's under 16 year-old surfers and will now move on to the King Of The Grom International event which is run in France later this year. It is Jack's best ever result on the national scale of surfing - the event was run in good waves at Snapper Rocks, Queensland.

The Quiksilver and Roxy Pro's Gold Coast, will take place from February 26 through to March 9 2011 at the world-renowned breaks of southern Queensland. Utilising the high-performance pointbreak of Snapper Rocks as the primary venue, the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast has the ability to go mobile to several nearby world-class waves, offering the ideal forum for the ASP Top 34 Men and Top 17 Women to open up their respective 2011 ASP World Title campaigns.
