Mark Webber Challenge - Tasmania 2011

After a two year break, the Mark Webber Challenge will return to Tasmania in December 2011. The State Government in partnership with Octagon have secured the event for the next three years.

Formula One driver Mark Webber said he was "absolutely rapt" to refire the challenge, which sees competitors tackle adventure sports through some of Tasmania's most scenic locations. In Hobart for the announcement, Webber said the Tasmanian landscape made it the best place for the challenge.

"There were a lot of other people keen to take the event to not only other parts of Australia and some places overseas but this is where it started and i think its very important that we keep it here" he said.
