Garrett Parkes takes lead in Australasian Pro Junior Series

Octagon managed surfer, Garrett Parkes, finished 2nd in the Chill Pro Junior in Perth over the weekend. This result puts Garrett into the number 1 spot on The Australasian Pro Junior Series, heading into the Fantastic Noodles Pro Junior in Victor Harbour, South Australia, which will decide the Champion for 2011. The top four placed surfers from the series will then represent Australia in the ASP World Junior Championship Series to be held in Bali, Brazil and Australia.

“It feels great to now be on top of the ratings. Last year was a terrible year for me, so it’s great to have turned it around this year. I’m just psyched for the next event in South Australia now and then onto the Worlds from there”, said Parkes.
